Dangerous rip tide and much of state park Beach area is roped off (for good environmental reason) making high tide a struggle for beach goes to cram away from the big surf. Due to undertow, lifeguards kept people close to shore only allowing knee deep wading however, I witnessed multiple people ankle deep knocked off their feet by undertow. The facilities and amenities themselves were great. Well kept and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of friendly lifeguards also.

I love camping here! Beach is beautiful. They do have an issue with skunks. We were outside eating dinner at dusk my dog was laying by the camper and a skunk camp from around the truck and sprayed him right in the face as he got up to see what it was. I understand that's nature but just be careful not to get sprayed. They are very brave little animals because people feed them when they shouldn't. Other than that had a great time and will come back every year! They did have electric and water hook ups.

Beautiful large State Park right on the ocean and the river. Great ocean beach and picnic area on the river side. Good RV camping spots with 30 & 50 amp electric sites. Excellent large dump stations area. Good over the air tv stations 20 + channels. A one mile bike ride to the town of Salisbury. Better to have a reservation while the kids are out on summer break.

Love it here. You can get great photos at sunrise & sunset. Especially due to the pillars of dock. One important thing is though- the undertow is dangerous as hell. It might be , because we went after tropical storms hit, but very noteworthy. " Watch your little ones near the water extra cautiously"

One of the best kept secrets to photograph beautiful, beautiful sunset pictures. You can spend the whole day there photographing the various stages of the sunset with the Merrimack River in the background. After the sun sets you can listen to the crickets and watch the moon come in with the city lights of Salisbury in the background or you can go to the other side of the park and listen to the glorious sounds of ocean waves. It is a wonderful place to connect with nature, your soul, and your spirit. However, there is a cost unfortunately. If you wait till after Columbus Day it is free. You can also camp there with RV. Even if it cost some money, there is not a price tag you can put on such natural beauty and the peace and tranquility that nature gives us. If only our President could learn that lesson.
